I began working for Ourimbah Veterinary Hospital in 1991 at the old location in King St, having completed two short courses, Animal Nursing & Advanced Animal Nursing, available at the time. The young woman who taught these classes Jeannie is still nursing & plays a major role in ORRCA Central Coast. Her passion for animals and their care is infectious.
Chris offered me on the job training and I am still here 22 years later, and still learning! I have completed courses in frontline management, and believe they have served me and the business well.
I love the deep connection between animals and people, and coupled with a belief of treating people as I like to be treated, makes each day of my work a rewarding experience. I don’t have any pets as I live between homes and my favourites are rather large – elephants, cows and greyhounds. I hope one day to share my days with a rescue greyhound.
I consider myself very fortunate to work in this caring industry with a team of truly dedicated and knowledgable people.
