Gypsy the wonder dog!

Gypsy was surrendered to Ourimbah Veterinary Hospital as a teeny tiny 3 day old Kelpie along with her two equally cute sisters! Nurse Jennie and her family took on the tremendous job of hand raising 3 puppies which entailed round the clock bottle feeding, regular body weight checks and much more- they all won the heart of nurse Jen but little Gypsy stole it!

In 2010 a young stray Ludo was found wandering in the bush, in a small town west of Newcastle by a member of the public. Unfortunately for Ludo he was suffering from horrific injuries in the left shoulder region- likely caused by an animal attack- potentially dog or pig attack.

Pulpy Kidney (Enterotoxaemia)- a deadly disease in alpacas, sheep, cattle and goats

We have seen a number of deaths from enterotoxaemia over this past summer. The longer than usual warm weather, together with plenty of rainfall has created ideal conditions for this disease to occur.
